Thomson Components manufactured 6809 and 6809E microprocessors
running at speeds 1, 1.5 and 2 MHz. The chips were offered in plastic
and ceramic DIP, leaded and leadless chip carrier packages
operating in commercial, industrial and military temperature ranges.
After the merger with SGS Microelettronica company in 1987 all 6809 CPUs
were branded as ST (SGS-Thomson).
