Intersil 80286 microprocessor family

Intersil acquired intellectual property rights and technology to manufacture 80286 family as part of purchase of semiconductor division from Harris in 1999. Since then Intersil manufactured full range of 80286 CMOS microprocessors operating from 10 MHz to 25 MHz CPUs in commercial and industrial temperature ranges. Intersil also manufactured mil-spec versions of 80C286 running at 10 and 12.5 MHz.

At this time, Decemeber 2009, 80C286 microprocessors are still manufactured by Intersil. Suggested retail price for these CPUs, when bought in quantities of 1K units, is $20 - $25 for CS80C286 CPUs, $40 - $45 for IS80C286 processors, $460 - $470 for mil-spec 10 MHz processors, and $580 - $625 for 12.5 MHz mil-spec parts.
