Intel 8087 floating-point unit

Intel 8087 co-processors were fabricated in two package types - ceramic side-brazed DIP and hermetic DIP (CerDIP), designed to operate in the following temperature ranges:

  • Commercial temperature range for parts with C, D, QC and QD prefixes.
  • Industrial temperature range for parts with LC, LD, TC and TD prefixes.
  • Military temperature range for parts with MC and MD prefixes.

There were a few different speed grades of Intel 8087 co-processors ranging from 4 MHz to 10 MHz.
