HT - Hyper-Threading VT - Virtualization ESS - PowerNow! / Enhanced SpeedStep TBT - Dynamic Acceleration / Turbo Boost FAQQ: I have an Intel N2600 CPU. Can I upgrade it?
A: No. Microprocessors like this one are soldered on a board, for that reason upgrading or replacing them is very very difficult.
Intel N2600 OverclockingSorry, overclocking information is not available at this time.

Dec 01, 2011: Intel's latest Atom platform, codenamed Cedar Trail, was scheduled for
release in September. The platform consisted of 4 SKUs, D2500 and
N2700 for ultra-low power desktops, and N2600 and N2800 for netbooks
and mobile devices. Although desktop "CedarView-D" Atoms from this
platform were launched as planned, mobile "CedarView-M" CPUs has been
delayed twice, for a second time until December. The reason of delay
was attributed to graphics driver certification problems.
According
to recent DigiTimes report, the CedarView-M processors will be
launched in December after all.
Atom N2600 and N2800 CPUs delayed; Atom N2100 spotted
Nov 26, 2011: Last week we discovered a number of new model numbers of what
seemed like upcoming AMD and Intel microprocessors in OEM hardware
specifications for "Windows Get Genuine for Academic" program. The
list of model numbers included not yet released Atom N2600 and N2800
processors, and previously unheard of Atom N2100. The latter model
was recently spotted in Samsung N102S notebook.
New AMD and Intel budget processors rumored
Nov 17, 2011: Currently, there are several different versions of Microsoft Windows 7
operating system, and the least expensive from them is
Windows 7 Starter. This version comes pre-installed on netbooks,
and it lacks many features, such as 64-bit support, desktop
Window Manager, Windows Aero, and others. Not only that, this version
of Window 7 can be only distributed on systems with budget, and
budget-to-middle class x86 processors.
No DX10 support for Cedar Trail processors
Sep 29, 2011: Earlier this week Intel quietly launched two Cedar Trail processors
with CedarView-D core for ULV desktops and nettops. Atom D2500 and
D2700, both dual-core models, emerged in official price list, and they
were added to ARK Intel product database. Intel also
released datasheet and S-spec update for these Atoms. In addition
to D2500 and D2700, the datasheet and S-spec update documents
reference two "CedarView-M" N2600 and N2800 CPUs for mobile market.
First benchmarks of Atom CedarView-M CPUs
Aug 29, 2011: This fall Intel planned to launch several Atom microprocessors from
Cedar Trail platform. New features of this platform are 32nm
manufacturing technology, and beefed up on-chip graphics unit.
VR-Zone
published today one slide with benchmarks of Cedar Trail
processors, that gives a rough performance estimate of the new
platform.
Prices and launch date of 32nm Atom CPUs
May 24, 2011: Today Fudzilla
published prices and approximate launch date of first
32nm Atom processors. As you may know, these Atom CPUs are
part of Intel Cedar Trail platform, which includes "Cedarview-D"
chips, aimed at nettops and ultra-low power desktops, and
"Cedarview-M" microprocessors for netbooks and other mobile devices.
Intel 32nm Cedar Trail Atom CPUs to launch in Q4 2011
May 04, 2011: It's been three years since the launch of first Atom processors
built on 45nm Bonnell microarchitecture. Over time, the Atoms added more
features, such as two CPU cores, on-chip graphics, Intel 64 and
Virtualization, and others, but the latest Atom chips still use the
same 0.045 micron process. Last year it was rumored that the first
32nm Atom chips from Cedar Trail platform will launch in the second
half 2011. Last Friday, Anandtech
confirmed 4th quarter launch date for the platform, and disclosed
details on two processors, D2500 and D2700.
Fudzilla revealed today two other CPUs
from the Cedar Trail platform - N2600 and N2800.
