lines of ultra-low power Accelerated Processing Units (APU). New
processors, C-Series C-60, and E-Series E-300 and E-450, implement
support for HDMI 1.4a, as well as add Turbo Core feature and support for
DDR3-1333 memory on selected SKUs.
Aug 03, 2011: This quarter AMD is going to launch three low-power "Bobcat"
microprocessors for netbooks and ultra-thin notebooks. One of these
chips, AMD E-300, is a dual-core APU with 1.3 GHz clock frequency and
1 MB L2 cache. Two other models, C-Series C-60 and E-Series E-450,
are beefed up versions of C-50 and E-350 products, that are currently
in production.
Apr 19, 2011: Macles blog yesterday revealed upcoming AMD Fusion microprocessor with
model number C-60, that will be launched in the third quarter 2011.
The new C-series SKU is based on low-power "Ontario" core, and,
consequentially, it boasts very low 9W Thermal Design Power.
