FAQ

Q: Can I upgrade my C-Series C-70 microprocessor?
A: No. BGA processors, like this one, are soldered on a board, as a result, upgrading or replacing them is extremely difficult.

AMD quietly releases ultra low power APUs
Sep 27, 2012: The launch of AMD "Trinity" mobile lineup back in May included two low- and ultra-low voltage microprocessors. Featuring only 25 Watt or lower Thermal Design Power, new chips were supposedly to be cheaper than Intel's ULV offerings. A quick look at current prices shows that AMD thin-and-light notebooks are indeed less expensive than Intel-based ultrabooks, although this partially can be explained by more stringent Ultrabook requirements, such as notebook's height and battery life.

Comment:speed seems paltry, but is actually pretty stout for something so small and cheap, and the onboard GPA Radeon 7290 HD graphics aren't too bad either. Better buy than the intel version of the acer aspire one 725-0687 netbook

RAM on C70...

2013-05-21 13:08:59
Posted by: Ludwig Bestehorn

Hi,

I'm trying to figure out how much RAM I can use with my C70 netbook. So far, nobody can give me a definite answer. I hope you can;-)

Best regards,

Ludwig

Response: I beleive the processor itself supports at least 8 GB of RAM. However, the maximum amount of RAM, you can put in, can be limited by motherboard design. It's usually 2 GB or 4 GB depending on laptop.
