AMD E1-1500 and E2-2000 APUs spotted on AMD's website
Jan 06, 2013: AMD ultra-low power APUs with "Jaguar" core are a few month away, but before they launch, the company is planning to release two Accelerated Processing Units, based on older Bobcat architecture. AMD E1-1500 and E2-2000 products are going to replace E1-1200 and E2-1800 parts, and they will offer slightly higher performance in graphics and numerical applications. Specifications of E1-1500 and E2-2000 APUs recently appeared on German version of AMD's website.

AMD Brazos 2.0 platform is announced
Jun 06, 2012: AMD yesterday announced Brazos 2.0 platform, along with E1-1200 and E2-1800 Accelerated Processing Units (APU). Details of just released processors were spotted on AMD website last weekend, therefore the announcement was not totally unexpected. Brazos 2.0 offer marginally higher level of performance, than Brazos platform, all the while improving battery life and adding support for the latest versions of USB and SATA interfaces.

Details of E1-1200 and E2-1800 APUs surface on AMD website
Jun 03, 2012: First generation of AMD "Bobcat" ultra-low voltage microprocessors from Brazos platform was launched in January 2011. The processors, promoted as Accelerated Processing Units (APU), targeted low-power desktops, netbooks, and mobile devices. The Brazos platform was refreshed once in August of last year. Since then there were multiple reports of second generation APUs, coming in the second quarter 2012. Today AMD added specifications of Brazos 2.0 processors to their products database, and also updated APU product specifications pages.

HP offers Pavilion dm1-4210au laptop with E1-1200 APU
May 22, 2012: In May AMD released second generation Accelerated Processing units (APU), based on enhanced Bulldozer core. New APUs were aimed at mobile systems, and they came in mainstream (35 Watt) and low voltage variations with 17 and 25 Watt TDP. Next month AMD will release second generation Brazos 2.0 APUs, that will offer even lower power consumption. One of these processors, E1-1200, is already sold in Asia in HP Pavilion dm1-4210au laptop.

AMD to launch Brazos 2.0 in June, desktop APUs in August
May 14, 2012: This and next quarter AMD plans to release new generation of Accelerated Processing Units (APUs). Soon to be available microprocessors will use enhanced microarchitecture, and feature significantly improved on-chip graphics, codenamed Graphics Core Next. There were a couple of reports in the past month, placing the launch of first mobile APUs in the middle of May. Release date for mobile APUs was confirmed last week by DigiTimes. They also revealed launch dates of desktop APUs, and ultra low voltage processors from Brazos 2.0 platform.

AMD's CPU and APU Line-Up thru Q3 2012
Feb 12, 2012: A slide has been leaked by Donanimhaber that shows AMDs product line-up for the next 2 quarters in the APU and CPU markets. The slide shows that we will be seeing Trinity A8- and A10-series in Q2, replacing Llano A8 in the high end APU sector. At the same time, Brazos 2.0 will replace Brazos in the mobile range. The rest of the Trinity range will be available in Q3, along with Vishera, the replacement for Zambezi in the performance sector.

New AMD Bobcat APUs in Q1/Q2 2012
Oct 26, 2011: Recently leaked mobile AMD roadmap indicated that in the first quarter 2012 the company may introduce new Bobcat processors for "Brazos 2.0" platform, that targets "HD internet", "Value" and "Essential" market segments. Based on the same roadmap, in the second quarter 2012 AMD will launch "Brazos-T" power-optimized platform. Yesterday, ComputerBase.de revealed three APUs for both platforms.
