AMD FX-8300 and FX-8320 to launch in October
Jul 15, 2012: We previously reported on new AMD FX-8350 eight core microprocessor, coming in the fourth quarter. Due to improved micro-architecture and higher stock frequency, that part will offer moderate performance boost over current flagship AMD FX-8150. The FX-8350 is not going to be released alone. According to Fudzilla, AMD plans to launch FX-8300 and FX-8320 eight-core models together with the 8350.

Purchased in Tokyo this summer. Yes, available as a spare cpu.
IMO is not overclockable, if he can reach higher frequencies AMD will sell it as a 8320 or 8350.

vs 8350

2012-12-10 22:12:35
Posted by: steven

with the lower tdp, the 8300 might be a better choice than the 8350....you could just OC the 8300 to 8350 speeds with a lower power consumption/heat output.

it would the the old athlon 64 x2 4400 vs 4800 all over again.

altho im not all to familiar with piledriver architecture, so i may be wrong
