CPUs, related to AMD FX-8350
• Within each category, the CPUs are sorted from slower (at the top) to faster (at the bottom) • The 'Price' column shows official AMD prices as of Apr 29, 2013. Prices for obsolete and tray-only processors are not provided. • List of related CPUs is not complete. FAQQ: My processor is running 55C under load. Is this normal?
A: Safe CPU temperatures are 60 degrees Celsius and below. It may
still run fine with CPU temperatures, exceeding 60C threshold by a
few degrees. Running the FX-8350 close to 70 degrees and higher is not
recommended.
Q: Is it possible to upgrade my AMD FX-8350 CPU?
A: No. This is the fastest CPU for Socket AM3+.

NewsAMD FX-8000 CPU series: What is under the lid?
Jan 13, 2013: This is not going to be a long and boring article explaining
different features of AMD FX microprocessors. Instead, we will have
some fun actually looking under the lid. As you may know, top of the
line FX-series processors are shipped in tin cans, which creates an
illusion of more expensive, and consequently better quality products.
The top lid of the can has an insert, that keeps the lid in place when
it's closed.
AMD introduces second-generation FX processors
Oct 23, 2012: AMD today introduced second-generation FX-Series microprocessors, based on Piledriver
microarchitecture. The released lineup consists of 4 products, having
4, 6, and 8 CPUs cores, and operating frequencies up to 4.2 GHz. The fastest
processor in the series, eight-core FX-8350, has up to 15% higher performance
than the former flagship FX-8150 model. Three other CPUs, FX-4300,
FX-6300 and FX-6320, also offer better performance than their
first-generation counterparts.
Prices of upcoming AMD FX microprocessors
Oct 18, 2012: Less than a week left before the launch AMD FX processors with
"Vishera" core. The new processors will be faster than older "Zambezi"
CPUs, although it remains to be seen by how much. The performance will
be one of the factors determining success of new products. Another
factor will be how well they are positioned against Intel Core i3/i5
lineups, and against AMD's older FX models, and this directly relates
to their pricing.
Boxed AMD FX-8350 has surfaced on eBay
Oct 12, 2012: AMD FX family will be refreshed in the second half of October, and the
refresh will bring faster and slightly more efficient desktop
processors to the masses. The fastest FX model, FX-8350, will come with 8 cores and
impressive looking (on the spec sheet) 4 GHz frequency. The CPU will
be released only in a week or two, but if you don't want to wait that
long, you can grab one on eBay, while there is
still time.
AMD A-Series to launch on October 2, FX-Series on October 23
Sep 25, 2012: While Intel is almost done releasing new desktop processors for the rest
of the year, AMD has only started. Next month we will see new lineups,
based on the latest AMD Piledriver microarchitecture, which is a tweaked for
better performance and power consumption Bulldozer architecture. A-Series
"Trinity" Accelerated Processing Units will target budget / mainstream
segments of the desktop market, and,
according
to SemiAccurate, they will be introduced on October 2.
Pre-order prices of AMD FX "Piledriver" CPUs
Sep 20, 2012: Next generation of AMD FX microprocessors is around the corner.
Built on "Vishera" design, new FX chips will have from 4 to 8 CPU
cores, and pack as much as 16 MB of combined L2 and L3 cache on a
chip. The CPUs will feature better performance than the first Bulldozer
models, partially due to more efficient "Piledriver"
microarchitecture, and partially due to higher stock frequencies. The
FX processors will be available in October, while some reports place
the launch as early as October 1.
Some details of AMD Piledriver CPUs
Aug 28, 2012: This fall AMD will release large number of new desktop processors,
built on the latest Piledriver microarchitecture. With the exception
of a couple of chips, details of upcoming lineup were known well ahead
of the launch. Yesterday
Expreview
published a slide, titled "2012 Consumer Platform Quick
Reference Guide for Desktops", that confirmed clock frequencies of
upcoming "Piledriver" products, and shed some light on supported
technologies.
Details of AMD A6-5400K and FX-8350 processors
Jul 04, 2012: In February Donanimhaber
leaked AMD roadmap,
that so far has been very accurate. The roadmap's second quarter
included new A8-Series and A10-Series "Trinity" processors, as well as
E1-1200 and E2-1800 APUs from Brazos 2.0 platform, all of which were
either announced or launched in June. Based on the roadmap,
planned new SKUs for the third quarter are A4-5300 and A6-5400K
Accelerated Processing Units, as well as FX-8350, FX-8320, FX-6300 and FX-4320
high-performance chips. The roadmap slide doesn't have detailed
specifications of unreleased chips, but many details of the A6-5400K and
FX-8350 SKUs were recently disclosed by Fudzilla.
AMD to launch Brazos 2.0 in June, desktop APUs in August
May 14, 2012: This and next quarter AMD plans to release new generation of Accelerated Processing Units
(APUs). Soon to be available microprocessors will use enhanced
microarchitecture, and feature significantly improved on-chip graphics,
codenamed Graphics Core Next. There were a couple of reports in the past
month, placing the launch of first mobile APUs in the middle of May.
Release date for mobile APUs was
confirmed
last week by DigiTimes. They also revealed launch dates of desktop
APUs, and ultra low voltage processors from Brazos 2.0 platform.
AMD's CPU and APU Line-Up thru Q3 2012
Feb 12, 2012: A slide has been leaked by Donanimhaber that shows AMDs product line-up for the next 2 quarters in the APU and CPU markets. The slide shows that we will be seeing Trinity A8- and A10-series in Q2, replacing Llano A8 in the high end APU sector. At the same time, Brazos 2.0 will replace Brazos in the mobile range. The rest of the Trinity range will be available in Q3, along with Vishera, the replacement for Zambezi in the performance sector.

I saw this LiveShow a few minutes ago, I think that AMD will earn tons of money on new consoles, but the PC market will be completely abandoned.
