The box is branded as "Celeron", while the CPU still has old family name - "Celeron Dual-Core". The box has the same size as other Celeron Dual-Core, Pentium Dual-Core processors, and cheap (E7x00 series) Core 2 Duo boxed CPUs.

At this moment (July 2009) this is the fastest Celeron Dual-Core processor. It's clocked at 2.4 GHz, and, while it has only 512 KB L2 cache, still beats low-clocked Pentium Dual-Core and Core 2 Duo processors in a number of benchmarks. It's a cheap and good processor for day-to-day activities (e-mail, browsing, word processing, etc).

Error in description :
L2 (512kB) cache in this CPU is 2-way associative, not 8-way.
