Feb 06, 2013: Intel this week announced plans to retire 28 Sandy Bridge desktop
CPUs from Celeron, Pentium, Core i3 and Core i5 families. After
successful transition of budget desktop microprocessors from
Sandy Bridge to Ivy Bridge microarchitecture, it's not surprising to see all phased out parts to be end of lifed.
Intel cuts prices of low power desktop CPUs
Mar 06, 2012: Intel published today new version of official pricelist.
According to it, the company reduced prices for low-power desktop
Celeron, Pentium and Core i3 processors. Intel also added pricing for
just released Xeon E5-1600 and E5-2600 series CPUs (they will be
covered in a separate article), and Atom D2550.
Intel launches new Celerons, refreshes Pentium and Core families
Sep 04, 2011: Over the course of past few months, we published a series of
stories detailing Intel plans to release new desktop Celeron
processors, and refresh existing Pentium and Core-branded families.
Today Intel made public new pricelist, that confirms specifications
and prices of all models, that we reported on before.
Prices of upcoming Intel desktop CPUs
Jul 27, 2011: In September, Intel plans to release new Sandy Bridge Celeron
processors, as well as refresh budget and mid-class desktop processor
families. In total, there will be 11 models: four Celerons, three
Pentiums, three Core 3s, and one Core i5 SKU. Specifications of these
microprocessors were known for quite some time. Prices for several
Celeron and Core i3 chips were published by Fudzilla news site in June.

revealed prices for other upcoming Celeron, Pentium and Core i3 CPUs.

Jun 19, 2011: After releasing large number of mid-class and high performance
Sandy Bridge models earlier this year, Intel steps up efforts to
launch budget microprocessors, based on the the new microarchitecture.
First Sandy Bridge desktop Pentiums from G6xx and G8xx series were
introduced in May, and, as was previously revealed by Fudzilla
hardware news site, Intel plans to refresh the full desktop Pentium
line-up in the third quarter 2011. Also in the Q3, Intel will
introduce first Celeron "Sandy Bridge" SKUs. We recently learned about
two new budget processors, Celeron G530T and Pentium G630T, that will
be available in the third quarter as well.
