Intel launches budget desktop CPUs
Jan 20, 2013: Intel Ivy Bridge microarchitecture was available for almost 9 months now, but so far only Core branded families have been transitioned to the new microarchitecture. Up to now, all desktop Celerons were based on older Sandy Bridge architecture, and desktop Pentium lineup had a mix of Ivy Bridge and Sandy Bridge CPUs. Today Intel added seven new SKUs to Celeron and Pentium families. Celeron family was updated with G1610, G1610T and G1620, that succeeded G400 and G500 series parts.

New Mobile Celeron processors to launch in Q1 2013
Dec 02, 2012: Next microarchitecture from Intel, codenamed Haswell, will be launched in the second quarter 2013, but before then the company will refresh existing desktop and mobile lineups, releasing more than a dozen of new models. We previously reported on new Celeron and Pentium desktop CPUs, as well as mobile Core i5 and i7 processors, coming next quarter. According to Digitimes, Intel will also launch a few mobile Celeron microprocessors from 1000-series.

Future Celeron and Pentium CPUs surface on Biostar's website
Nov 23, 2012: We previously reported that Intel plans to complete transition to Ivy Bridge microarchitecture in Q1 2013 by releasing new Celeron and Pentium desktop microprocessors. Overall, the company will launch 7 SKUs, including G1610T and G2020T low-power models. Characteristics of these products are already known, and some of them were even spotted in specifications of Dell desktop PCs. Now the CPUs has surfaced in CPU support lists on the Biostar website.

Ivy Bridge Celeron CPUs coming in Q1 2013
Oct 14, 2012: Last month Intel began transitioning its budget desktop lineup to Ivy Bridge microarchitecture. In September they released the first two Pentium CPUs with Ivy Bridge core, and two more models are coming in the 1st quarter 2013. Also in the first quarter, Intel will introduce three "Ivy Bridge" Celeron CPUs. According to Fudzilla, the Celerons will have G1610, G1610T and G1620 processor numbers.
