In September 2013, Intel Mobile Celeron family is going be transitioned to Haswell 22nm microarchitecture. The first three Haswell processors in the family will be Celeron 2950M, and ultra-low voltage 2955U and 2980U. While standard features of mainstream Celerons seems to be similar to Ivy Bridge counterparts, the 2955U and other ultra low voltage parts will have one notable difference - they will come with integrated platform control hub, and they will not need a separate chip to provide peripheral interfaces. Although chipset integration should raise processor's power consumption, Intel managed to lower TDP to 15 Watt. On the 2955U chip this was partially achieved by reducing operating frequency to 1.4 GHz. Haswell products usually have 6% - 8% better per clock performance than Ivy Bridge parts, which means that the 2955U should be comparable in CPU-intensive tasks to Celeron 1007U. In graphics applications and games, Haswell HD GPU should be faster than 1007U's GPU.

Jul 19, 2013: Intel plans to launch Haswell-based dual-core mobile processors at the end of Q3 2013. A complete list of upcoming models contains more than 20 different SKUs, ranging from Celeron 2900 series and up to Core i7. Although specifications of many of these CPUs are still unknown, we found some details on two chips, Celeron 2955U and Core i5-4200H.
