X6800 OEM Order code different

Posted by: MJP

Based on this:
processorfinder.intel.com/ details.aspx?sSpec=SL9S5
and
support.intel.com/support/processors/core2extreme/sb/CS-023100.htm
The shipping OEM Order code is HH80557PH0677M - is something different?

Response: I believe their order number is wrong. It doesn't fit into part numbering scheme & different from part numbers of x6800 ES CPUs

it is not SSE4!

There is extension of SSE3 in this processor (32 new instructions). I start to call it SSE3e (like SSE3 extensions). It is still not SSE4 what will be added into next generation with approx. 50 instructions (Penryn, 45 nm).

Response: You're right - Core 2 Duo includes Supplemental SSE3 instructions, not SSE4. I updated the Core 2 Duo pages.

if buss is 266 quad is that 266 x 4 does that equal 1064 not 1066 or is my math off?

Response: If I'm not mistaken, FSB is quad 266.66... MHz, i.e. 1066 MHz. For simplicity many companies truncate digits after decimal point
