Core 2 Quad Q9500 CPU is yet another variation of quad-core 2.83 GHz microprocessor with 1333 Mhz FSB. First two Q95xx versions were Q9505 with 6 MB level 2 cache, and Q9550 with 12 MB L2 cache. Both processors supported such advanced features as VT-d and Trusted Execution Technology (parts of vPro technology), and had standard for Q9xxx CPUs Thermal Design Power. Eventually Intel released energy-efficient 65 Watt modifications of the Q9505 and Q9550 processors - these received model numbers Q9505S and Q9550S respectively. The Q9550, which is planned to be released in January 2010, has the same TDP and the same size of the level 2 cache as the Q9505, but it lacks VT-d and Trusted Execution technologies. On the other side, during its introduction the quad-core Q9500 will be priced $30 lower than the Q9505.
