Intel Core Duo T2250 LF80539GE0302M
Specifications
Standard-voltage Core Duo microprocessors were offered with 533 MHz and 667 MHz Front Side Bus frequencies. Telling them apart by processor number is easy. All CPUs with "Tx00" processor numbers had 667 MHz FSB, and microprocessors with 533 FSB had "Tx50" processor numbers. Performance of processors with 533 MHz FSB in comparison with 667 FSB models was very dependent on the type of application. It could be the same or only a few percent slower in small, mostly CPU-intensive applications, or up to 35% slower in bandwidth-intensive tasks. As an example, this Core Duo T2250 with operating frequency 1.73 GHz and 533 MHz FSB is about 4% faster in Sandra synthetic benchmarks than T2300 with 1.67 GHz core frequency. Performance difference can be primarily attributed to 4% higher frequency of the T2250, and the fact that the Sandra benchmarks are not dependent on available memory bandwidth. The picture changes in WinRAR test, that relies heavily on memory bandwidth. In the WinRAR test the T2300 with faster FSB gets 30% better results than the T2250.
