Oct 05, 2012: At the beginning of September Intel added three Core i7 and two mobile Celerons to official price list, and later published specifications of a Pentium B980 in their ARK product database. All six CPUs were part of a bigger refresh of performance and budget mobile market segments, that was scheduled for the end of Q3 and/or beginning of Q4 2012. This week Intel introduced six more mobile SKUs, thus completing the refresh.



Intel Core i3-3120M CPU is in the works
Aug 30, 2012: At present, Intel Core i3 mobile family consists of two Ivy Bridge SKUs, and a large number of older, and very likely cheaper, "Sandy Bridge" processors. Ivy Bridge-based CPUs are Core i3-3110M for mainstream notebooks, and ultra low voltage Core i3-3217U for thin-and-light laptops. In the fourth quarter of this year the i3-3110M will get a slightly faster successor, i3-3120M, also built on Ivy Bridge microarchitecture.
