Specifications

Core i5-520E embedded CPU is in many ways similar to i5-520M microprocessor - both run at 2.4 GHz, have the same micro-architecture, size of on-chip caches and the same set of technologies. In addition to all model 520M features, the 520E has 7-year lifecycle support, and includes memory controller and PCI Express interface enhancements. The Core i5-520E can work with both ECC and non-ECC memory. PCI Express Interface on the i5-520E can be configured as one x16 PCI express port (similar to other Core i5 Mobile CPUs), or two x8 PCI Express ports. The i5-520E is offered only in 1288-ball BGA package, which is not ball-compatible with BGA1288 package used by non-embedded processors.
