Intel states that this CPU can support AES-NI instructions if OEM supplies BIOS that includes CPU Configuration Update

i5-2410M

Bought a laptop for college in 2011. Didn't know enough at the time to invest in something better for gaming but the i5-2410M with its Intel HD 3000 is actually not that bad.

With the 1366x720, it doesn't have to work too hard to pump out moderate graphics. Any game produced in 2007 or less can run if you adjust the graphic settings accordingly.

Some games after 2007 however are a crap shoot. It does play Portal 2 and Half Life 2 Episode 2 with medium to low settings which surprised the hell out of me.

I'm upgrading to a desktop for gaming and moving to a i3-4130 with Intel HD 4400 integrated graphics. I will buy a GPU as soon as I get an internship but for now, I'll still be using integrated graphics. Intel has stepped up their game with integrated graphics so I'm not worried about performance.
