Intel Core i5-2467M Mobile processor - AV8062701047504
Specifications
The first ultra-low voltage microprocessor from i5-24xx series,
Intel Core i5-2467M, was launched in June 2011 together with 14 other
ULV and mainstream mobile CPUs. The processor is built on Sandy Bridge
micro-architecture, and is aimed at thin-and-light notebooks. The
i5-2467M boasts very good performance, comparable to performance of
entry-level mainstream mobile CPUs, while operating at very low
power levels.
New in Sandy Bridge 32nm microarchitecture is a single-die
implementation of all chip components. The components, integrated
into the Core i5-2467M, are:
- Two CPU cores. Each core incorporates dedicated 64 KB level 1
and 256 KB level 2 caches. The cores support Hyper-Threading
technology, that allows them to execute two threads simultaneously.
- 3 MB level 3 cache, shared between the cores and an integrated
graphics controller.
- DDR3 memory controller, that supports two memory channels with
data rates up to 1333 MHz.
- Direct Media Interface (DMI) 2.0, capable to deliver twice as
much bandwidth as the DMI in the previous generation of Westmere
microprocessors. The purpose of the Direct Media Interface is to
communicate with South Bridge chip and all peripheral devices.
- Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) supports 3D graphics acceleration,
and can handle HD and/or 3D video content. The GPU also incorporates
such video technologies, as Quick Sync, Clear Video HD and InTru 3D.
Intel i5-2467M CPU operates at 1.6 GHz, which at this time (June
2011) is quite impressive for ULV microprocessors. The CPU also
includes Turbo Boost technology, can can raise core frequency to 2.3
GHz for single-threaded applications. The Core i5-2467M supports all
basic and intermediate technologies and instruction set extensions,
such as Hyper-Threading, SSE4, AES instructions, and Advanced Vector
Extensions, although the processor lacks certain business-oriented
technologies, like VT-d virtualization and Trusted Execution.
Low-power features on this CPU are identical to other Sandy
Brdge-based processors. These features consist of several low-power
states, used when one or both cores are idle, and Enhanced SpeedStep
technology, which reduces power consumption of active cores by
reducing their operating frequency and voltage. Thermal Design Power
of this model is 17 Watt.
Intel Core i5-2467M is manufactured in a Ball Grid Array (BGA)
package. CPUs in this package are usually soldered on a motherboard,
and cannot be easily replaced or upgraded.

Intel introduces mobile CPUs: part II
Jun 21, 2011: Yesterday, Intel posted new pricelist with four new ultra-low voltage
consumer processors from Celeron, Core i3 and Core i5 families. We
used this update as a base for yesterday's story, where we reported
that more parts may surface in an official announcement, or in the
Intel ARK product database. Today, several processors were added to
the ARK database, including two new models that we hadn't covered
before. The products, added to the database, are embedded Celeron 847E
and B810E, consumer-class Celeron B800, Pentium B940 and B950, as well
as 4 CPUs, previously found in the pricelist - Celeron 847, Core
i5-2557M, Core i7-2637M and i7-2677M. Two new SKUs are Pentium 957 and
Core i5-2467M.
