News

Feb 21, 2011: With the introduction of Sandy Bridge micro-architecture last month, Intel launched quite a number of quad-core desktop and mobile models, marketed as second-generation Core CPUs. Today, Intel followed up with the release of more than 10 new dual-core Sandy Bridge processors for desktop and mobile markets. A list of newly released models is available in updated price list. Like in January, today's launch includes a mix of mainstream SKUs, and low and ultra-low voltage parts.

Jan 07, 2011: As you may know, earlier this week Intel took the wraps off the Sandy Bridge micro-architecture, and disclosed details on many Sandy Bridge CPUs, aimed at desktop and mobile markets. In our yesterday's article we provided a summary of all 2nd generation desktop Core models, that will be shipped this and next month. In this article we're going to explore Intel's mobile offerings.

Dec 30, 2010: On December 9, Lenovo announced two laptops, IdeaPad Y460p and Y560p, and new IdeaCentre K330 desktop PC. Lenovo's press release pronounced that the laptops will feature 14" and 15.6" displays, Intel Core i7 processors, up to 8GB DDR3-1333 memory, and up to 750 GB HDD, but no specific details were given at the time. Days ago, more detailed specifications of the IdeaPad Y460p laptop emerged on Lenovo website. The specs supply information on all integrated components, as well as a list of supported microprocessors, which include upcoming Sandy Bridge mobile CPUs from Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 families.
