Intel discontinues Core i7 mobile processors
Jun 21, 2012: Intel yesterday published Product Change Notification (PCN), advising
its customer about upcoming discontinuation of several
mobile microprocessors from the second-generation Core i7 family.
Specifically, the company will retire Core i7-2920XM Extreme Edition,
PGA and BGA versions of quad-core i7-2820QM and i7-2720QM CPUs, as
well as dual-core i7-2620M.
Intel launches new desktop and mobile CPUs
Jan 09, 2011: Earlier this week, at Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Intel
announced 2nd generation Core microprocessors, based on just
introduced Sandy Bridge micro-architecture. Today, Intel officially
launched these processors, as well as a few models built on older
Nehalem and Core technology. Intel's price list was updated
with prices and brief specifications of all new CPUs.
Specifications of Sandy Bridge mobile CPUs
Jan 07, 2011: As you may know, earlier this week Intel took the wraps off the
Sandy Bridge micro-architecture, and disclosed details on many Sandy
Bridge CPUs, aimed at desktop and mobile markets. In our yesterday's
article we provided a summary of all 2nd generation desktop Core
models, that will be shipped this and next month. In this article we're
