Intel Core i7-920 (AT80601000741AA / BX80601920 / BXC80601920)

Specifications

Official launch of the Core i7 microprocessor family in November 2008 included first three members of the family - i7-920, i7-940 and i7-965 Extreme Edition. The slowest from these three processors, and so far the slowest from the whole i7-9xx lineup, is the Core i7-920. Despite of its relatively low core frequency, "just" 2.67 GHz, the i7-920 performs as good of better than Core 2 Quad Q9650, the fastest Core 2 Quad microprocessor running at 3 GHz. Thanks to HyperThreading feature, Core i7-920's advantage is especially impressive in heavy multi-threaded media applications - in some applications the Core i7 processor is up to 35% faster than the Q9650. Performance of the i7-920 in games is less impressive. Depending on the game, the CPU may be faster or slower than the Q9650 by up to 10%, and on average it performs on a par with the Q9650.

Design of boxed Intel Core i7 is somewhat similar to design of Core 2 Duo E8x00 and Core 2 Quad Q9xxx CPUs - blue-color box with family logo on the front, top and left sides, detailed CPU information on the right side, and see-through windows on the top and back side. The top see-through window is smaller than on Core 2 boxes, and the width and height of Core i7 boxes is bigger than the size of Core 2 boxes - approximately by 1 inch (2.54 cm).

Not only the size of the contact pads was decreased on Core i7 processors, but the shape of the pads was changed too.

Nehalem Architecture, Bloomfield Core

Just thought i should mention this, You have Nehalem as the processor core, the actual core name of the current core i7 9xx series processors is Bloomfield. Nehalem is just the name of the 45nm architecture that the current i7 and the upcoming mainstream core i5 processors are produced under. Just thought i'd give you the heads up.
