Aug 24, 2012: AMD today updated A-Series, FX-Series and Phenom II pricing pages, lowering prices on full range of "Llano" APUs, and high performance K10 and "Bulldozer" CPUs. The pages shows effective date August 27, which suggests that the price drops will happen next Monday. Overall, the prices were cut by 1% - 23%.

AMD cuts prices on A-Series APUs and FX CPUs
Apr 27, 2012: A few days after announcement of Intel's Ivy Bridge micro-architecture, many news sites reported that some European retailers slashed prices of FX-8150 processors by 15% - 20%, and suggested that AMD may have dropped the prices of other processors as well. Today AMD published new pricelist, confirming price drop for the FX-8150 model. The company also cut prices of six- and quad-core FX-Series chips, and for all microprocessors from A-Series.

AMD tweaks APU prices; releases Athlon II 651 CPU
Nov 15, 2011: Yesterday AMD launched server Opteron processors, based on Bulldozer micro-architecture. This event was widely covered by all hardware news sites. It is less known that yesterday AMD also changed prices of several Accelerated Processing Units (APUs), as well as the price of FX-6100 model. In addition to that, AMD introduced new Athlon II X4 651 microprocessor.

AMD adds prices for A4-Series APUs
Sep 07, 2011: This quarter AMD already launched five A-Series CPUs. AMD A6-3650 and A8-3850 quad-core models have been shipping for two months now. Three other microprocessors, or APUs, appeared in AMD pricelist and product specifications in the middle of August, and up to this week were almost impossible to find in retail. Two dual-core APUs, A4-3300 and A4-3400, were also expected to launch this quarter. Prices of these two processors were added today to official AMD pricelist.

Pre-order prices of A4-Series desktop CPUs
Aug 25, 2011: AMD desktop LLano platform currently consists of two desktop A6-3650 and A8-3850 quad-core processors, released in July 2011, and three A6- and A8-Series models, launched less than a week ago. Prices of these Accelerated Processing Unites (APUs) range from $89 for triple-core A6-3500 and up to $135 for A8-3850. This quarter, AMD is going to launch two supposedly cheaper microprocessors from A4-Series family.

Jun 29, 2011: MSI recently published a marketing document, titled "MSI A75-Series Mainboards". Besides specifications of four upcoming MSI socket FM1 motherboards, that will be launched in the third quarter 2011, the document also provides AMD APU roadmap with approximate launch dates of desktop Llano microprocessors.

Llano desktop CPUs to launch on June 30
Jun 27, 2011: Fudzilla reported today that desktop Llano microprocessors will be launched on Thursday, June 30 (see correction below). Last weekend, first ASUS F1A75-M PRO, F1A75-V PRO, Gigabyte GA-A75M-UD2H and GA-A75-UD4H socket FM1 mainboards appeared in stock of smaller internet stores. The prices are starting from about $110 for ASUS F1A75-M PRO and Gigabyte GA-A75M-UD2H micro-ATX boards, and up to $125 - $130 for ASUS F1A75-V PRO and GA-A75-UD4H ATX motherboards. The desktop Llano processors are not available for sale in US yet, although two of them, A6-3650 and A8-3850, can be pre-ordered for $120+ and $142+, respectively.

E2- and A-Series desktop APU line-up revealed
Jun 13, 2011: Last Friday, DonanimHaber published updated line-up from soon to be released A-Series and E2-Series desktop APUs. The new line-up includes 5 A-Series microprocessors with 2 and 4 CPU cores, and one budget dual-core E2-3200 model. All upcoming chips use "Llano" core, that merges 32nm version of K10 CPU with high-performance graphics engine. The newly-available specifications are close to A- and E2-Series specs, that appeared in March of this year. The final line-up uses different model numbers, and there are minor changes in the size of L2 cache and DDR3 memory support for the A4-3400 model.
