AMD introduces new mobile microprocessors
Jan 05, 2011: In the past months we posted a series of articles dedicated to upcoming refresh of mainstream and ultrathin 2010 mobile platforms. If you followed the stories then you may know that a number of not yet released processors was spotted in specifications of Acer, Dell, HP and Lenovo notebooks, and some of these notebooks already materialized in retail stores. Today, AMD added new mobile models to 2010 AMD Mainstream Platform and 2010 AMD Ultrathin Platform pages, and updated AMD product pages as well.

Dell Inspiron M301z gets faster K345 and K645 processors
Dec 21, 2010: One week ago we published specifications of new Turion II Neo Dual-Core K685 and K645 microprocessors, that mistakenly appeared ahead of time on Italian AMD website, and were removed afterwards. At the time of writing of that article we couldn't find any notebooks shipped with the K645 CPU. One week later, the Turion II Neo K645 arrived in Inspiron M301z laptop, sold on Dell Singapore website.

Athlon II Neo K345 is offered in Dell Inspiron M101z in Australia
Dec 17, 2010: Launched in May 2010, AMD "Nile" ultrathin platform included 5 microprocessors from four different dual-core and single-core "Neo" families. Six months after the launch, we have all indications that AMD is planning to release new models for that platform. We already know three expected Neo models, Turion II Neo K645 and K685, and Athlon II K145. Today we discovered that yet another unannounced processor, dual-core Athlon II Neo K345, is shipped in Inspiron M101z laptop by Dell Australia.
