Bits and pieces: A4-3450 APU spotted, AMD retires Phenom II CPUs
Jul 12, 2012: The first generation of AMD Accelerated Processing Units, based on
Llano core, hasn't been refreshed since the beginning of this year.
Considering that AMD plans to replace Llano products with
"Trinity"-based ones, and that some "Trinity" parts has already been launched, we
didn't expect to see new Llano processors. However,
recently updated CPU
support information for Biostar motherboards revealed new A4-3450
APU.
AMD launches new Athlon II and Phenom II CPUs
Dec 07, 2010: In the past month, we published a few stories about upcoming desktop
AMD microprocessors. The stories revealed pre-order availability of
Phenom II X6 1100T and dual-core Phenom II 565 CPUs, in-stock
availability of triple-core Athlon II 455 at Amazon.com, and a
reference to quad-core Phenom II 975 model on the latest public AMD
roadmap. Three of these processors, Phenom II X6 1100T BE, Phenom II
X2 565 and Athlon II X3 455, were officially released by AMD today,
and their specifications are already available on AMD website.
New AMD Phenom II processors - bits and pieces
Dec 01, 2010: Two weeks ago, we published a story about AMD Phenom II X6 1100T
model appearing on pre-order lists of online stores. Since then we
discovered a few other interesting tidbits about forthcoming Phenom II
CPUs, including Phenom II information on AMD website, Phenom II 565
model pre-order, and CPU support updates for new Phenom IIs.
