Jan 05, 2011: In the past months we posted a series of articles dedicated to upcoming refresh of mainstream and ultrathin 2010 mobile platforms. If you followed the stories then you may know that a number of not yet released processors was spotted in specifications of Acer, Dell, HP and Lenovo notebooks, and some of these notebooks already materialized in retail stores. Today, AMD added new mobile models to 2010 AMD Mainstream Platform and 2010 AMD Ultrathin Platform pages, and updated AMD product pages as well.



Dec 14, 2010: AMD Ultrathin "Nile" platform was introduced in May 2010, together with AMD mainstream 2010 platform, codenamed "Danube". Since then the mainstream platform was refreshed once, when at the end of the third quarter AMD quitely released slightly faster versions of most of their mainstream processors. The ultrathin platform was not refreshed back then, but there are all indications that this may happen soon.
