AMD introduces new mobile microprocessors
Jan 05, 2011: In the past months we posted a series of articles dedicated to
upcoming refresh of mainstream and ultrathin 2010 mobile platforms. If
you followed the stories then you may know that a number of not yet
released processors was spotted in specifications of Acer, Dell, HP
and Lenovo notebooks, and some of these notebooks already materialized
in retail stores. Today, AMD added new mobile models to 2010
AMD Mainstream Platform and 2010
AMD Ultrathin Platform pages, and updated
AMD product
pages as well.
AMD V Series V160 CPU is shipped in Dell and HP laptops
Dec 28, 2010: Just in time before Christmas, we published a series of stories
covering impending refresh of mobile AMD microprocessor line-up.
Several new mobile CPUs are already shipping in notebooks, while large
number of them, revealed by "Service and Maintenance manual" for HP
G42 and Compaq Presario CQ42 notebooks, are still anticipated. One of
these processors, V Series V160, is now available in Dell and HP
notebooks.
HP service manual reveals new AMD mobile processors
Dec 16, 2010: Yesterday we published a story revealing not-yet officially
released Phenom II Triple-Core N870 microprocessor in Dell Inspiron
M501R notebook. We suspected that that processor would be a part of
future refresh of AMD mainstream "Danube" platform.
Today we found more mobile processors from the upcoming refresh.
Hewlett Packard recently updated
"Maintenance
and Service Guide" for Compaq Presario CQ42 and HP G42 notebooks,
and added unannounced AMD model numbers and their brief specifications.
