Thuban-core support in old AM2+ motherboards with SB600
I can confirm that Thuban-core Phenom II X6 works in older motherboards with AM2+/SB600.
Gigabyte released an update for their GA-MA790FX-DQ6 motherboard (SB600) that adds Thuban support and other goodies, like core "unlock" and K10 line-specific settings.
Previously, the party line was that SB600 won't support X6 Phenom IIs and, indeed, I tried to put X6 in some AM2+/SB600 motherboards and it didn't even pass POST.
I don't know if this a feat of engineering/lts from Gigabyte or technical compatibility was all along, but movo manufacturers were unwilling to support out-dated products.

GA-MA790FX-DQ6 with FW F7G and 1100T without problems.
