Run this CPU at 100*10.5 and there is no cooling problem at all.

i had around 80C on 266mhz with a 70mm fan @ 3500rpm and a pure copper heatsink, although i had to lower it later on to 1.1ghz @ 105mhz(210DDR)... i recomend a very very good water cooler and if not, dont use this processor and get an athlon xp....

Upgrade from Athlon 900 to 1400

I have a Asus a7v8x m/b with an Athlon 900mhz.
I would like to put in the faster 1400mhz.
Is it just a matter of removing the old processor and installing the new one?
Thanks

Response: In most cases - yes, you only need to replace the CPU. If you have Windows XP you may need to reactivate it after that.

What does mean "overheat"? Max operating temp 95...

Response: 95 is a max die temperature. This CPU's temperature is measured underneath of the CPU where it's 20 - 30 degrees lower
