AMD Athlon XP 2400+ - AXDA2400DKV3CSpecificationsAthlon XP 2400+ is not the fastest CPU with Thoroughbred core, but it is still a good choice to consider if your motherboard doesn't support Barton and Thorton cores. The primary reason for this is that at this moment (May 2006) the fastest Athlon XP rated 2600 MHz is difficult to find, and it's way overpriced. As its rating suggests the Athlon XP 2400 on average is on par with Pentium 4 2.4 GHZ (depends on application), and only 5% or less slower than Athlon XP 2600+.

Comments (11)OC this CPU2007-09-07 06:29:34 Posted by: Petros from Greece I have managed to boot at 190 MHz FSB but with a low multiplier and the CPU was not stable at games. The maximum stable state is with FSB=185 MHz, Vcore=1.75 Volt and multiplier=12. I recommend it for everyday use. Changing multiplier2007-11-19 06:07:32 Posted by: Brian in Bolton Seems that Petros has an 'extreme' version cpu to allow change in multiplier? axda2400dkv3c with stepping code "AQXDA"2007-11-29 16:13:25 Posted by: PanAm This processor does not work. Probably, it has not passed factory check on serviceability. On it of only 4 closed crosspieces (a pressure{voltage} and FSB).
