I built my computer in May 2003 using a MSI K7N2 MB and this CPU. It has been running very stable at 185 MHZ X 12 = 2225 MHZ. During the summer I drop it down to 182 MHZ. Overall, the most stable computer I've ever owned.

May I use AMD XP 3200+ in a laptop?. I am currently using AMD Athlon 2600+ at 2Gb Ram Memory, if I upgrate it up 3200+, how big the change would be?

Thanks in advance.

Response: It's better not use it in the laptop. Desktop CPUs have higher voltage, so they may not be supported by laptops. Also, fan/heats

Sempron 2200+ to a Athlon 3200+

I was wondering how much faster the athlon 3200 is than my sempron 2200, because this processor is only 900mhz and its very slow on multitasking.
SO i was wondering if i could get the 3200 adn overclock it to 2.4ghz
cause i have a separate intel computer that i use for gaming. It has a socket 478 Intel Celeron D 2.93ghz 533mhz FSB and 256k cache, i also have 2gb pc3200, and a geforce 7800gs AGP. SO i was wondering if i got the Athlon 3200 and swapped the componants of my intel system, would the AMD system be better than my celeron d? or should i just reformat and get a Pentium 4 3 ghz

Response: You're running your Sempron at wrong FSB. To fix it you will need to change FSB from 100 MHz to 166 MHz. For the rest of the com

Thanks for the link. £63 (US$126) (+ p&p from the USA) for the AXDA3200DKV4D processor is expensive, but it is the maximium my MOBO will take with its 333FSB.

Is there likely to be a significant increase in speed? I am also upgrading to 2gb of PC2700 RAM which should help things along.

Response: There won't be significant speed increase if you upgrade the CPU. You may not even notice it.

I have been searching but can not find this processor anywhere, although the 400FSB is not to tricky to get hold of, these are as rare as rocking horse dung. Are they available from anywhere?

Response: Please search on Google for: AXDA3200DKV4D pchub
