Greatest Budget Processor of all time

I bought this baby after I upgraded from a strong P3 500 that I had used for years. This sempron was cheap but it packed a great punch for the price. I was very satisfied with it and is probably my favorite processor of all the ones I have ever owned because of how good it was for the price.I was able to overclock it from 1.5 to 1.8 GHZ easily. It still strong enough to use for basic to midgrade comp users even in 2008.

Still going strong in 2011!

I bought this as a cheap PC when I left home and needed a computer for college work...can't remember when that was exactly but it must have been around 2003 or 2004.

Paired it with an A78SX-MX motherboard from ASUS, 512mb of RAM and a GeForce 6200 (which has since been used in other projects)

And I'm still using it as my main PC now! Never had a problem with it, and its suffered some abuses and multiple case changes and many many attempts to replace it (but it keeps coming back!).

I have finally started plotting to move on to something newer, but only because I'm sick of the fan noise... never did find a Socket A passive cooler...

It will live on as a print server or maybe a firewall though...I wonder how many years of use I can get out of it?
