CPU Information
SDA3000DUT4D is the fastest officially released AMD K7 Sempron, but not the fastest from all socket 462 microprocessors. Even though this processor has rating 3000+, this rating is relative to Intel Celeron processors and is about 10% higher than Pentium 4 rating that was used for other Athlon CPUs. As a result, this Sempron 3000+ is about as fast Athlon XP 2700+.

Hmm
Haha,
The first poster/commenter was actually Ocing his Chip!
That 200MHZ that he was set at, was actually 200MHz x2! - thats 400MHZ. (DDR)
If you want to run that chip at the defualt settings - you should but your settings to 166MHZ ;)
Semprons PWN celerons! ;P
Problem with FSB
I actually can't make it work with the correct FSB (333Mhz). My motherboard is a AsRock K7VT4A Pro and it perfectly works out only with a jumper setting of 200Mhz. Any other setting make the system not to work.
Isn't that fast enough for a processor? If you really want to OC it do it in the bios. Just make sure you have good enough cooling on the processor, northbridge chip, and RAM so you don't overheat and accidentally cook anything.
the sockets.
is an AM2 socket the same as an A (462) socket. need a reply asap plz
You can make it go faster depending on what BIOS you have, all Socket A CPUs can be OC'd through the BIOS, Juts increase it's clock frequency
Confused
I need an asap reply here, my processor is currently busted and im planning on buying a new one... is it true that socket a processors are no longer made? is it true that AMD is phasing out socket a boards and micros?....
the shop that i went to told me that, i need to buy a new board because they dont have socket a micros anymore and they only have socket 462... what should i do?
Overclocking the sempron
At present Im running my 3000+ sempron at 2300mhz has anyone got any tips to make it go faster
