AHX1200DHS3C is distinct in two ways from other Palomino-based Athlon MPs. The processor has lower core voltage, which leads to lower CPU power consumption. By our estimates, average power consumption of the AHX1200DHS3C is less than 40 Watt, or 20% lower than power consumption for the AHX1200AMS3C microprocessor. Another unusual thing about this CPU is the package. This MP processor is manufactured in newer organic PGA package, that provides lower cost and better electrical performance than ceramic packages of other Athlon MPs with AHX prefix. AMD has never published specifications for this part number on their website.

Doesn't all Athlon MP processors have SSE compatible instruction set? This isn't mentioned in any Athlon MP model here. They are quite similiar to XP series (however, not identical).

Response: 3DNow! Professinal includes SSE. I'll make sure that the Athlon MP pages mention it.
