Have this in an eMachines M6811

This 7 year old cpu has better performance than the eMachines E627 with TF-20 processor (a 2 year old cpu).

Response: Thos 3400+ and TF-20 processors serve different purposes. The TF-20 is an ultra-low power processor with 15W TDP, while the 3400+ has 89W TDP.

AMD CPU power consumption....

Work in electrical terms means watts. The tree huggers are always trying to squeeze us into using less power so we can give it away to someone else. Well, electricity can't really be stored very well and then sold later. So, why save it if you have the money & need it for computing power? I have always found that the CPU that uses the most wattage under heavy load is the one that will generally perform best. But yes, they do get hot....

RE: Stepping code CAASC

I have an AMD Athlon 64 ADA3400AEPAR with a stepping Code CAASC Date code 0410XPMW and some other code 9837864C40025, Revision SH7-CG, F4A. The only processors i see with CAASC stepping code is either Mobile Athlon 64 and the opteron Sledgehammer. If any body has any info to clarify this i would appreciate Thank you.

Response: The list of AMD stepping codes is compiled from multiple sources, and it is incomplete. We constantly update it with new information.
