hi,

did you not list KAB3E stepping for a reason? or did i make a mistake?

greetings
Response: The list of steppings is not complete. I'll add KAB3E to the list.

This Processor was nothing but good to me, I was able to boot successfully into WinXP at 3.0ghz (250mhz FSB) on the stock voltage, it did become unstable under prime until I set the core to 1.4 Volts (which is within specification) using software, my bios didn't have the option. I am still missing the 1MB cache since I moved to AM2, AMD should have kept the 1MB cache (I know of the new Athlon LE, and the $105 Opteron Dual Core 1MB, but I can't afford them right now).

"But I dislike my motherboard. Avoid Foxconn (also called Winfast) motherboards. The first motherboard I got went bad on me after only 45 days. My second motherboard doesn't run memory at it's rated speed."
I am sorry you seem to be having trouble, Just for future reference Foxconn manufactures many many motherboards (Dell, HP, ASUS), and Video cards as well. They are a good product.

I have been using a system with the AMD Athlon 64-bit 4000+ processor for over sixty days now as of 10-17-2007. It is much faster than my previous AMD Athlon 2200+ XP processor. Overall I am quite pleased with the performance it gives as a single core processor.

But I dislike my motherboard. Avoid Foxconn (also called Winfast) motherboards. The first motherboard I got went bad on me after only 45 days. My second motherboard doesn't run memory at it's rated speed.
