The Athlon 64 FX-60 is clocked internally at 2.6 GHz, which is 200 MHz slower than the single-core Athlon 64 FX-57. While this CPU usually outperforms the FX-57 in many benchmarks, it may be slower than the FX-57 in applications that don't use second CPU core. When compared to Athlon 64 and Athlon 64 X2 processors, the FX-60 has better performance than most of them with the exception of Athlon 64 X2 5200+ and faster Athlon 64 X2 CPUs.

939's King

This is the king of the Socket 939 processors. It's now dang hard to find, and varies in price.

These go for over $200-250USD still.

no sense

It doesn't make any sense to spend 250 on a processor that old. For 250 yo u can buy a core2duo a motherboard and ddr2 memory and still have warranty. DDR2 memory is so cheap and easy to find now.

It makes no sens at all

I wanted to upgrade one of the 939 Asus boards. Price Out of Space. I wonder how many eBay sellers have problem of the right brain balance and reasoning. 100% agree wit the 3 above opinions. In reality I would say "Get a grip of something cold and apply to your forehead to determine the right price" for the old technology. Good CPU but not any Treasure just 5 years OLLLD at the present time.

Top of the line

This CPU is the top model of socket 939 and therefore way overpriced! I agree it is madness spending so much money on an old CPU like this BUT if you already have a good working 939-system, espacially with AGP graphics, this can be a good upgrade. The weakest spot is the CPU mostly even though DDR-400 RAM is the second bottleneck on such system.

i have one of these! it works excellent! i can run FAR CRY 3 with low graphics and with an 9500 gt. i have it working at 2850 mhz. it is a good option if you want to upgrade an old 939 platform.
