The CPU was manufactured 2 and half months after introduction of dual-core Athlon 64 microprocessors. Notice that the processor is marked as "Athlon 64". In the second half of 2006 AMD started marking these processors as "Athlon 64 X2". 		AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ CPU

Socket 939 processors were sold in the same size boxes as socket 754 processors. The boxes were made of sturdy carton, and were 50% larger and about 40% heavier than boxed socket AM2 processors.
