Virtualization

The description on this site says the TK-42 has virtualization capability. However, AMD site says "no". It would be nice to clarify.

Response: Sorry, I never tested TK-42 and I cannot confirm it. I know that TK-53 - TK-57 processors do have Virtualization, even though AMD says they don't. If you have this CPU in your system you may try to run our CPUID tool to see if it has Virtualization.

Virtualization and TK-42

I don't have the TK-42 but was looking at it in case I decide to use it to replace the TF-20 on my Acer eMachines E626-5583. So I was trying to investigate. It seems that Virtualization is not an important feature if you only boot to one operating system (Windows 7 in my case).

Hey I just tried upgrading TF-20 on my Emachines G625 but I failed, since it wouldn't run with TL-60 2.0 Ghz X2 but I think the number on the processor is of importance.. I think it has to start with AM to work on these machines, while the TL-60 starts with TM.. But good luck..

both cpuid tools and cpuz show this cpu as supporting virtualization. I don't know how to make use of the tech though, especially on this netbook i installed the chip into!
