This CPU runnnsss sooooo hot for laptops! but handles 4 GB of DDR2-667 HyperX Mem and Windows 7 with NO PROBLEM : D

AMD Tuion 64 X2, TL-60, is fast enough for me.

I decided to look up what this laptop was running and found this link of many. I have to say I was pleased to find out it was a dual core. I got the laptop as a Father's Day gift last year and I let it sit for months before I even opened the box. How dumb was that now I think back. I'm still excited to turn it on or wake it from sleep each time I need quick access to the net or to run an app. I have it in an HP laptop. The battery life is fine when I have to take it to a board meeting and use for 2 1/2 hours on average. I recommend this to anyone.

Intel Celeron 430 is faster...

Celeron 430 is faster. One can read off also from the Banchmarks. AMD could not do anything, can nothing and it will in such a way remain. CPUs from East Germany (Dresden) are something for the garbage pail.

i have the same in my laptop , and what so ever i am running Win 7 now and also x1270 2 gig of ram ultimate 64 bit , i agree this cpu is just great , for everything i do gaming not a whole lot , but after i`ll got the 3dmark05 version pro , might try to do a preset fro higher performance ... not sure how much can it do for me or for my ati x1270 but based on the truth , it will give a better preset

Other sources like chiplist.com say this specific G2 Revision of the 2Ghz Tyler is a 31 Watts just like the G1 Revision TMDTL60HAX5DC. This is kinda important if you are looking for an upgrade in a notebook with critical Heatsink and want to avoid going up the Watts-ladder. What is true?

Response: I don't think that AMD published specs for TL60 with G2 core, so 31W for G2 is an assumption that G2 has the same TDP as G1. We play it safe and show 35W. See http://villain.amd.com/kr-kr/Processors/ProductInformation/0,,30_118_13909_13911,00.html

amd says 31watt

thats why i bought this cpu also today as an upgrade to my existing TL-50. I wanted to prevent to much heat so 31 watt was important.

Response: The link is for TMDTL60HAX5DC, not TMDTL60HAX5DM

ps.

Trinidad (90 nm SOI) have 35 watt, Tyler (65 nm SOI) have 31 watt.

"Celeron 430 is faster. One can read off also from the Banchmarks."

You may want to review the benchmarks for multi-threaded performance. The TL-60 has roughly twice the processing capability of the Celeron 430.

Upgrade for an Acer Aspire AS5534

I bought/sold some Acer Aspire-AS5534-1096 notebooks that came standard with the AMD Athlon 64 x2 L310 1.2GHz/1MB L2cache processor.
AMD P/N: AMML310HAX5DM. One buyer told me it was a 5.6lb MP3 Player. I popped on of these in & he noticed the Difference right off the bat. Going 800MHz faster really improved the operation of his Notebook. He didn't complain about the price which was about $100. cheaper then last year at this time. a $20 bill made all the difference in the world. Hope he's happy.

"Physical memory 1 TB
Virtual memory (TB) 256"

where can i get this processor? XD

Response: Everywhere. All 64-bit CPUs with AMD64 support 40-bit (1TB) pysical addresses, and 48-bit (256 TB) virtual addresses.
