Motorola MC14500B ICU (Industrial Control Unit) is a 1-bit logical unit
designed for simple decision-oriented tasks. The unit can execute all basic logical
operations with input data and optionally with internal Result register.
Results of these logical operations are loaded back into the Result register.
When necessary the chip can "store" (output) the contents of the Result register.
In addition to logical instructions the chip can perform simple branch and jump
instructions. Some branch instructions are executed in very peculiar way -
the ICU selectively skips chunks of code by loading instructions, but not executing them.
The 14500B unit does not include program counter, therefore the size of supported memory
is dependent on the implementation of program counter.
