Not really on-chip graphic or sound peripherals

These chips do not have on-chip graphics or sound (or even north/southbridge). The CPU is designed to work with a companion chip which implements those functions and are sold as a motherboard set. Even so the MediaGX CPUs that are socketd will not operate without this companion chip. These are not true SoC platforms.
