In addition to 100 MHz FSB setting with PC100 RAM mentioned in previous comment, this CPU also works flawlessly @ 4x 83 MHz setting with PC66 RAM, resulting in 333 MHz speed. Tested with Asus P2L97 motherboard with 440LX chipset (100 MHz FSB setting is not available).

overclockability 400mhz

The PII 266 cpu will run stable no problem running @100fsb if your motherboard has the option to switch from 66fsb to 100fsb using 100mhz sdram, the multiplier is locked @ 4x,this cpu runs unstable over 412mhz,this is a well known overclock ,this is the same chip as a 66fsb 400mhz version, luckily the 512kb cache can handle operating @100fsb,the cache has a speed limitation of running up to 200mhz 1/2 cpu speed(making this possible). This gives the cpu a real performance boost, operating at near PIII performance due to the 100fsb overclock.(adding a cpu fan to the heatsink is recommended)
