The comment about all Xeonīs coming in a slot 1 cardridge formfactor is I am afraid rubbish.
only the first Xeonīs came as a slot 1 cardridge
all subsequent Xeonīs were released as socket 370 chips.
my own Pentium 3 Xeon Tualatin core at 1266 mhz comes as a socket 370 chip.
