I've had my Pentium D 820 for severa lyears now, currently its in an Abit AW9D-Max board with w/c. I've got it OC'd to 3.3 from the stock 2.8 and its rock-solid stable, idles @ 28C and loads no higher than 35C with a single 120 rad and fan.

so far i have had a sager notebook with the pentium 4 in it, then the HP nc6000 with the pentium M in it, now i built this computer with the pentium D in it and its fast but my nc6000 died so i had gotten a 775 to 479 socket dongle and put the pentium
M in it, the thing stays at room temp and i over clocked it highly, so far i get more performance out of the pentium M than the pentium D. but the pentium D was a good cpu for a while.

slughish slow hot as the sun

I have two PCs, one with an AMD64 3000+ an one with a Pentium D 2,8GHZ dual core and i can only say that the AMD PC is almost 59% faster, more quiet, and less power consuming. Nothing more.
