Intel quietly adds Pentium 1405 CPU
Aug 15, 2012: The launch of Sandy Bridge-EN processors in May of this year
was accompanied by introduction of two OEM-only Pentium chips. New
CPUs, dubbed as Pentium 1403 and 1407, came with 2 CPU cores and 5 MB L3
cache. The microprocessors had all Sandy Bridge technologies enabled, with the
exception of Hyper-Threading and Turbo Boost. Recently Intel launched
Pentium 1405, the third member in Pentium 1400 series.
