Intel Pentium Mobile P6100 - CP80617004125ALSpecificationsMobile Pentium P6100 is a dual-core budget microprocessor built on
Westmere microarchitecture. The micro-architecture uses newer 32 nm
manufacturing process, and integrates two dies in one package. The
first die contains two CPU cores and shared 3 MB L3 cache, while the
second die includes DDR3-compatible memory controller, and HD-capable
graphics controller running at 500 MHz. The P6100 microprocessor runs
at 2 GHz, and incorporates only basic Westemere technologies - EM64T,
Execute disable bit and SSE instructions up to SSE4. Thermal Design
Power of this model is 35 Watt, which is standard for mobile
processors of its class. The Pentium Mobile P6100 will be
manufactured in micro-PGA package only, and will fit socket 988
motherboards. The CPU should be available in 2010, and it is rumored
to be launched in September 2010.
Dual-Core Pentium P6100 was spotted in Lenovo notebooks as early as May 2010. Since then this model appeared in specifications of a few other notebooks:

NewsIntel discontinues mobile processors
Apr 19, 2012: This week Intel published three Product change Notifications,
advising its customer of forthcoming discontinuation of several mobile
processors. All retired processors are from Westemere group of
families, built on 32nm technology. 6 OEM microprocessors, including
P4600, P6100, P6200, P6300, Core i3-370M and i3-390M will be
end-of-lifed on October 16, 2012, and their last shipment date is
April 16, 2013. In addition to OEM chips, Intel is planning to retire
boxed Core i5-520M, i5-540M, i5-560M and i5-580M CPUs. Their last
order (EOL) date is October 19, 2012, and they will be shipped until
January 18.
Intel introduces Mobile Pentiums, Core i3-380M and Core i5-460M
Sep 27, 2010: Today, Intel ark database (ark.intel.com) was updated with
specifications of microprocessors released last Sunday. In addition to
8 Core i5, Core i7 and Mobile Celeron CPUs, that we covered in yesterday's new story,
Intel published specifications of 4 other models - Core i5-460M, Core
i3-380M, and mobile Pentium P6100 and P6200. All four processors
have the status "Launched" in the database. Apparently, the CPUs were a part of
yesterday's big launch, but were not included in Intel's price list
because the pricelist, for unknown reason, doesn't show any
Pentium, Core i3 and Core i5-4xx mobile families.
Pentium P6200 sighted in Acer notebooks
Aug 05, 2010: Two weeks ago we published a story about new Core i3-380M and Core
i5-460M CPUs, along with other forthcoming Core and Pentium-branded
CPUs, spotted in Acer D732 laptop. Acer recently updated
specifications for this notebook, and added Pentium P6100 and P6200 to
a processor lineup.
Future Intel mobile CPUs spotted in notebooks
Jul 23, 2010: As you may already know from publications on our and other
hardware news sites, in the third and forth quarters of this year
Intel will launch the next wave of mobile Arrandale-based CPUs: Core
i7-640M, Core i5 models i5-560M and i5-580M, Celeron P4600, as well as
Penryn-based Celeron T3500. Yesterday we reported on two other
models that maybe launched at about the same time: Core i3-380M and
Core i5-460M.
Specifications of upcoming Intel Mobile microprocessors
May 21, 2010: Using different sources, we compiled specifications of upcoming
Intel mobile CPUs. These processors are Core i3-370M, Core i5-450M,
Core i7-740QM, Core i7-840QM and Core Extreme Edition i7-940XM. We
also discovered two Pentium Mobile models - P6000 and P6100.
