Texas Instruments 7000 microcontroller family

TMS7700 is a family of CMOS and NMOS 8-bit microcontrollers. The family consisted of a few different variations of the chip: without on-chip ROM, with 2 KB and 4 KB ROM, and with either 128 or 256 bytes of RAM. The TMS 7000 microcontrollers could have up to 3 on-chip timers, serial port, and 32 I/O lines (4 ports). CMOS version of the TMS7700 also included low-power features. There were two different prototyping chips for this family: TMS77x2 with 4 KB or 8 KB on-chip EPROM, and SE70P16x with piggyback socket for external EPROM. The TMS7700 microcontrollers could work in single-chip mode as well as in 2 different expanded modes and in a microprocessor mode. The TMS7000 family was replaced with TMS370 microcontroller family.
