NEC V25 microcontroller family

NEC V25 (uPD70320) is a microcontroller based on the NEC V20 microprocessor core. Like the V20, the V25 has 16-bit internal architecture and 8-bit external data bus. New features of the V25 are 256 bytes of RAM, integrated peripherals and 8 new instructions.

NEC V25+ (uPD70325) is an enhanced version of the V25. The V25+ has faster DMA transfer rate, and the maximum speed of the microcontroller was increased to 10 MHz. Although the NEC V25 and NEC V25+ are somewhat similar to Intel 80188 family, they are not compatible.
